As Philip reminisces, flashbacks to WWI show how he and his wife Ester met, and eventually married. Although the Great War saw the loss of so many men, there was also happiness and tales of love, and the end of the war in 1918 was cause for celebration as well as remembrance.

As Opportunity Knocks got underway, we met numerous fictitious contestants all of whom provide ‘inspiration’ to the panellists, John and George. 1958 saw the first meeting of the four men who would become ‘The Beatles’. Although it was not as contestants of Opportunity Knocks, this slight twist of the truth gave us the chance to see what possibly sparked the inspiration for some of those classic tunes.

It was a very moving show and was enjoyed by all who came to watch.
